Anita completed her Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) and Bachelor of Laws form the University of Western Sydney in 2000 and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 2001.

She has previously worked at an insurance company in the claims division and then joined a large plaintiff law firm as a personal injury solicitor.

Since 2012, she has been working as a Senior Solicitor at Schreuder Partners Compensation Lawyers.

On a day to day basis, she has carriage of car accidents (CTP) matters, work (WID) claims, medical negligence, public liability and Total and Permanent Impairment (TPD).

The legal system in NSW allows an injured person to make a claim for compensation if it can be established that another party was either wholly or partially responsible for the incident occurring.

The injured person is compensated to put them back into the position had the accident not occurred. There could be payout for pain and suffering, economic loss, medical expenses and domestic care needs.

It is paramount to seek legal advice early as possible as there are strict time limits in making a claim.

Each month, she will talk about a different aspect of personal injury law to provide an insight that will benefit those you have little or no knowledge of the claims process.
