This event was held on 11 March 2023 as an effort from APWA to celebrate women and also to introduce everyone with APWA upcoming projects especially APWA NEST – home for Her. AusPak Women Association (APWA) under the leadership of Shafaq Jaffery is continuing on its mission to support women to achieve their full potential, to encourage, enable and facilitate their active involvement in business, employment, learning and community life. In this regard, a celebration of women on International Day of Women along with a Fundraiser night for APWA Nest – Home for her project has been organised with full zeal and zest.
What’s a better way to celebrate international women’s day other than to celebrate International Women’s Day and female empowerment with APWA Grand Launch and Fundraiser Dinner for APWA Nest – Home for Her. Event has not only been attended by a huge number of Pakistani and CALD community members, women achievers, parliamentarians, community leaders, other organisations from NSW and Sydney but representatives of APWA chapters from Brisbane, Tasmania and Melbourne have also travelled to join the celebrations.
No Function can be successful without the help of valued sponsors. But one of the huge successes of APWA team was to be able to bring the renowned Pakistani Bank – Bank Alfalah as Platinum sponsor of the event. Bank Alfalah not only kindly sponsored this very important celebration and event but also showed desire to support APWA work and future initiatives for a long term collaboration.

Bank Alfalah printed information pamphlets made available on each table along with displays at various places in the venue made it easy for the attendees to familiarise themselves with Bank Alfalah services. The media ad played also built the curiosity among the attendees to know more.
