It was a pleasure to be the part of the special morning tea with Bollywood Diva Vidya Balan, followed by the Media Press conference which was attended by Indian superstar and Festival Ambassador Vidya Balan, Victoria’s Minister for Creative Industries and Equality, Martin Foley and IFFM director Mitu Bhowmick-Lange.
During the Morning Tea Vidya Balan was welcomed by the Victorian Minister Martin Foley and she exchanged gifts with him. Vidya Balan was presented with an aboriginal Glass art work from Melbourne based Kirra Gallery while she gifted Vir Sanghvi’s book India : Then & Now to Minister Foley.
At the press conference it was announced that the theme of IFFM 2015 will be “Equality” which will take place from 15th Aug to 27th Aug. The equality theme will be explored through a special program of films, the Western Union Short Film Competition and a special panel event featuring Australian and Indian guests.
The full program of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will be announced in June, in the meantime save the dates 15th Aug to 27th Aug
