Four people charged after fight in Manly

May 4, 2015

Four people have been charged, and a man suffered a head injury, after a fight in Manly overnight.

About 8.20pm (Sunday 3 May 2015), a 40-year-old man became involved in an argument with three men and a woman at Manly Wharf Plaza.

The argument developed into a fight and flowed out onto the Manly Wharf concourse area.

Witnesses have told police the 40-year-old attempted to run from the area and was chased by one of the men, who allegedly punched him in the side of his head.

He fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement, suffering a large cut.

Police attended and, after a short foot pursuit, four people were arrested and taken to Dee Why Police Station.

The 40-year-old from Collaroy was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Manly Hospital. He has since been released.

A crime scene was established with specialist officers conducting a forensic examination.

Three men, two aged 29 and one aged 26, and a 25-year-old woman have been charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before Manly Local Court on Wednesday 3 June 2015.
