Age is just a number when it comes to making a difference. If you have an idea, the universe conspires to bring it to life. Start your initiative today, because change knows no age limits.
It all began when Aaryaveer, an 8-year-old realized that he and his friends had an abundance of unused sports equipment in their backyards. Upon research, he realized that many children from his generation have ample extra gear and that’s when the idea stuck, and rest is all history.
What started as a realization in Aaryaveer’s own backyard has now grown into a global force of change. Through his efforts, he has not only given sports equipment to countless children but also instilled in them the belief that dreams are achievable, no matter where you come from. He has sown seeds of empowerment, and as those seeds grow, they pave the way for a more equitable world.
Golden Wickets is an initiative which works towards giving those who are less privileged, the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of playing a sport. This goal is achieved through donating new and fairly used sports equipment to those who are in need. Aaryaveer is a hardcore sports enthusiast. Cricket, Rugby and Athletics being his favourite sports. A mathematician by heart, Veer loves formulating strategies and instant calculations on the ground. He loves spending time with his baby sister, Saisha, and toy cavoodle, Bails.
As a part of this initiative, Veer has actively participated in a range of activities, each designed to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. From engaging events to friendly cricket matches, providing nourishing meals for struggling families, to ensuring refugee families have access to sports equipment, every aspect of this initiative is a testament to the power of compassion and community. Golden Wickets has worked with Salvation Army, Asylum Seekers Centre and NSW Department of Health.
