This morning Desi.com.au captured the Inaugural Arrival of Air India Dreamliner 2013
Today the Air India Dreamliner landed Sydney at 8.10 am with 200 passengers in its Inaugural Flight.
Air India Plane was given a Water Salute on arrival.
Straight after the landing, Media Conference was organised and it was addressed by Mr Rohit Nandan (Chairman and Managing Director of AIR INDIA), Kerrie Mather from sydney Airport, The Hon Matt Thistlethwaite Parliamentary Secretary for Infra Structure and Transport, Consul General of India Mr Aurn Goel, High Commissioner of Indian Mr Brien Nanda.
It is going to be a 7 days a week flight. For the first time ever a Dreamliner has come to Australia and gives an excellent connectivity to those passengers as it will fly late morning from Sydney and will reach by 6pm same day in Delhi, thus giving the opportunity to people to connect to various other domestic flights. Passengers will save time as it will only take 12 hours in full flight. Most importantly this new technology has been used where air pressure has been set to 6,000 feet instead of 8,000.
India is Australia’s largest unserved market. Last year, around 140,000 passengers travelled between Delhi and Sydney via Asian hubs. It is expected that these direct services will boost tourism and trade between the two Nations.
On Behalf of Desi Australia we would like to wish them all the success.
