Inquiries continue after car park fight – Glenmore Park

May 20, 2015

Inquiries are continuing to identify those involved in a fight at a Glenmore Park fast food outlet on Sunday (17 May 2015).

Just after 8pm, police from Penrith Local Area Command responded to a report of a fight in the car park of a fast food outlet on Glenmore Parkway

When police arrived they found the crowd had dispersed but later spoke to three 17-year-old males who had returned to the car park.

They told police they had been assaulted by the group. One of them had a minor head injury but had refused treatment.

The teenagers have refused to provide police with any additional information.

Penrith Local Area Commander Superintendent Brett McFadden said police were now relying on information from the public to identify who was involved in the fight.

"We are looking at security camera footage from the fast food outlet and surrounding business and as well as footage shot on mobile phones," Superintendent McFadden said.

"This sort of violence is not acceptable and whether someone is punched or a weapon is used – the potential for someone to die or be seriously injured in a fight is all too real.

"A number of people called police on the night and we want them to get back in touch with us through the Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
