Jatt James Bond (2014) | Punjabi Movie Critic Review By Path Preet Singh

April 26, 2014

Star 3 out 5
Director: Rohit Jugraj
Starring: Gippy Grewal, Zarine Khan, Gurpreet Ghuggi

I can see hunger for success in Pollywood eyes (Punjabi movie industry), having desire to grow but still they have to travel far. I did observe a sense of seriousness after long time in Pollywood.

I enjoyed Gurpreet Ghuggi Yashpal n Karamjit Anmol .I am sure if we pull these comedians out, Whole movie will collapsed. Gippy Grewal did put a lot of efforts. I did enjoy his hardcore Punjabi language n his juggling with typical rural Punjabi words. Screenplay is better than typical Punjabi films these days.

Story is predictable .In one line “To fulfil Zareen father’s demand to buy a house and to get marry with her, Gippy planned and robbed the bank “that’s it.

Gippy falls in love with Zareen Khan even oppose the marriage from her father (Vindu Dara Singh). It’s a story about 3 struggling lives of Gippy, Ghuggi and Yashpal, all of which need money.

Very straight forward story, could have been executed well .It is a good attempt to bring seriousness into the Punjabi movie industry.

Punjabi industry should understand before it gets too late, they can’t depend on Juggad’s for long .They should start spending enough balance to what they had earned or collect revenues in past .Try to use directors and characters at their best or extract their skills at optimum levels.
