A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner after a pedestrian died when struck by a car at Campbelltown this morning.
The crash happened about 6.30am (Sunday 8 March 2015) when the man was struck by a Holden Cruze being driven eastbound along Narellan Road.
A number of people including two off-duty police officers rendered assistance to the injured man; however, he died at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as a 29-year-old man from South Granville.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from Oran Park, stopped to assist. He has been taken for mandatory blood and urine testing.
All eastbound lanes were closed for four hours while officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examined the scene.
