Brief Info : Popularly known in the community for more than 27 years as the “Menai Garba”, this function is organised by a “broad community group for the broader community”. With music provided by a proven team of talented local artists, this is Sydney’s one and only true “commercial free” Navratri function. So show your support by turning up in large numbers: the more, the merrier! Donation: We keep the entry fee low to encourage wider community participation; the Entry fee does not cover all expenses for organising the function. If you are willing to make any donation (all donations welcome), please contact any of the people mentioned below or in the flyer enclosed. We do not seek commercial sponsorship and display no advertising banners. We rely on generous community support and welcome any cash donation or donation towards specific expenses e.g. Prasad, Flowers etc. We will be happy to provide an invoice / receipt for any cash donation. ALL WELCOME! ABOUT THE NAVRATRI CULTURAL GROUP (NCG) Navratri Cultural Group (NCG) has been at the forefront of organising the Navratri Garba and Dandiya Raas functions in Sydney for over 27 years. It is run by a committee of volunteers who work without any monetary compensation. Over the years, NCG has donated generously for worthwhile causes both locally and in India. NCG has always organised functions using all local artists (most of whom provide their services on a voluntary basis) and we endeavour to continue to do so. NCG is not affiliated with any specific sections of the Gujarati community and it encourages broad community participation in all aspects. If you would like to or if you know someone who would like to participate as a volunteer on the day, as a member of the organising committee or as an artist, please contact any of the people mentioned below or in the flyer enclosed. We will sincerely welcome all help we can get in keeping this traditional Navratri function going. For further information, any contribution, donation or Aarti bookings, please contact: Kanti and Pratibha Gokani (02) 9792 1422 (B/H) Bhargav and Meeta Desai (02) 9873 5250 (A/H) Viral and Sangeeta Hathi (02) 9629 5267 (A/H) Nimesh Shah 0437 980 296 (A/H) WE WILL VERY SINCERELY APPRECIATE IF YOU CAN PASS THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. WE RELY MAINLY ON WORD OF MOUTH PUBLICITY. MANY THANKS.
