Parmish Verma, born and raised in Patiala, Punjab attended Yadawindra Public School. I encountered a vital milestone in 2007 when I moved to Australia as a student. Finished TAFE and am now working for Fitness First. An amazing opportunity arose last year where I had been given the chance to be involved in the Punjabi film industry. My debut was in “Punjab Bolda” which is due to release on 15th Aug 2013. “Punjab Bolda” is directed by Mr. Ravinder Peepat and written by Dr Satish Verma.
Early this year, I also finished shooting for my second movie, in which I play an extremely prominent role with Roshan Prince. The second film, “KIRPAAN: The sword of honour” is written and directed by Mr. Amrik Gill who also wrote “Jeet”, “Yaadein” and “Hum Dil De Chuke Saman”. The second movie is due to release late this year. I’m aiming to pursue my acting career and look forward to experience working with new and versatile projects.
I also have a passion for dance and am a university level bhangra and malwai gidhha performer with more than 10 years of theatre experience under my belt. Being the son of DR. Satish Kumar Verma, (who is a nationally renowned Punjabi writer and professor of Punjabi at the Punjabi University in Patiala) is a blessing, and is so rewarding to have theatre and poetry in my genes.
A big thank you to DESI.COM.AU for giving me this opportunity to get in touch with my people here in Australia and seek their support.
