Police are appealing for information after an 83-year-old woman – who was found seriously injured in Miller yesterday – passed away.

About 11.45am (Tuesday 17 February 2015), police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics responded to reports of a woman lying on the roadway in Shropshire Street, near the intersection of Dorset Place.

On arrival, the woman was found to have suffered a laceration to the back of her neck and to her arm. She was unable to tell police how she came to be injured.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics conveyed the woman to Liverpool Hospital; however, she died overnight.
Police have renewed their appeal for information to determine how the woman was injured.

At this time investigators have not been able to rule anything out; they believe there is a strong possibility that the woman was the victim of a hit-and-run pedestrian collision.

Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command continue with their investigation and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
