The Consul General of India, Sydney, Mr. B. Vanlal Vawna launched Mobile Banking Services in a small function on 9 November 2017 at the State Bank of India branch on 264 George Street, Sydney. This is the “SBI Australia Anywhere” a smart mobile Banking application. The mobile banking application is now available for download in both Google Store and Apple Store.
Customers of State Bank of India, Sydney would be able to download the application and login with their existing online banking user credentials. At present, limited functionalities including account balance enquiry, transaction search etc. are rolled out. Full scale functionalities such as online transactions, foreign exchange etc. will be rolled out in due course.
The Bank expects this digital product to connect better with tech-savvy young generation. This is another step towards increasing the digital experience for the customers. SBI Sydney is currently under process of many other digital banking products, which shall be launched in coming months. The Bank has currently 35 staff members, who are working towards customer satisfaction.
SBI Sydney initiated Diwali Dhamaka Flash Sale in the month of October for international transaction on Diwali day. Over 2000 international transactions took place on Diwali day, 19 October 2017 and 3 winners, Bhuvi Jayashankar, Saravanan Shanmugham and Sachin Dixit were announced with the help of a draw. Bhuvi was present at the launch and received an iphone as a prize from the Consul General, Mr. B. Vanlal Vawna on behalf of SBI Sydney.
Also, the Consul General, Mr. Vanlal Vawna congratulated two employees of SBI Sydney, who celebrated their birthday during the launch with their staff members and invited guests.
