I know, I know, they say that diamonds are a girl’s best friends, but how about I tell you the story of the golden mantra bead that can help you tune ‘in’ and live your life to the fullest and in the best possible manner!?
The Mantra Bead is a scroll made from 24 karat, organic pure gold, (gold that is found and collected in rivers or in places that it has naturally risen up to the ground surface) imbued with sound of the mantra. Inscribed on the scroll is a Mantra – a sacred prayer designed to awaken us to our divine nature.
After this process the scroll is rolled into a bead and sealed with fire to encapsulate its vibration.
This process is an inspiration that was given to us all so we can enjoy and learn from the unique qualities of gold and implement its teachings in our lives.

The hi-s-tory behind the creation of the golden mantra bead:
After a Near Death Experience in 2007, Ami Ben-Hur, the creator of the ‘golden mantra bead’ started to work with a specific process where he imbued different intentions and vibrations within gold. Here is his story in his own words…
I was going through the process of rehabilitation, when working with gold not only proved to be an inspiration but the best teacher on my journey towards healing.
I met Deva Premal and Miten some years ago when they were spending time in the Byron Shire, where I have resided for over a decade. The mantra bead project was born at a social lunch held at my home.
Deva Premal and Miten experienced a gold session with me & got to cast the vibration of a mantra within the gold, a truly magical & unique work. After wearing the beads for some time, they sharedthat many people had asked them about it. This prompted their decision to share the mantra beads with others.
The vibration of the sound of mantra imbued within the gold at the time of its liquid state and then the Sanskrit writings are inscribed after the gold comes back to its earthly form, soft and shining its light.
Why Gold:
The most pre-dominant qualities of gold are its flexibility, conductivity, purity and the frequency of the golden light. This is what our energy body is experiencing and is reminded of when pure gold is entering in to its space. And that is foundation upon which the mantra is imbued and inscribed with.
These qualities are opening, resonating and supporting a full experience of the mantra frequency, as well as helping to create the change needed to fully embody the mantra and its teachings.
Mantra Project:
We all had an immediate “yes” to the mantra bead project and saw its contribution to the practice of mantra. This applies for any individual and the frequency of the different mantras vibrating through gold, as well as enriching the collective field with light awareness and beauty.
We spent a few months experiencing this & allowing the full picture to come into play. We then fine-tuned every aspect of this project and finally launched it in May, 2014.
The response to the mantra bead was trulyamazing and positive, that it was a very clear sign for the Mantra project to get a huge green signal-Go Ahead Full Throttle!
I was working at night in Jerusalem in my father’s jewellery workshop, a time when the space around me was empty and the crafting of the mantra beads was so magical. It brought to me sweet memories of when I was 6 years of age. I would sit on my father’s lap learning different techniques to manipulate gold to transform it into fashionable items.
And that day, I found myself 40 years later with the freedom and allowance from with-in, to start a new project in that same room using the same tools, initiating the mantra vibration within pure gold and allowing the freedom of the metal to shine its pure nature, its emphasis-> moving from appearance to quality with fire playing a major role in the process.
Since that day onwards the journey of this project is unfolding in a way that is beyond what we can imagine. Here is a story with-in this story-> a very moving event, yet another angle to knowing the way the mantra bead project brings forth healing.
During the uplift festival 2015 I was giving a talk on the teachings of gold. It was very much in my awareness and the organisers too, that gold may be a very sensitive subject for the indigenous guests that came to share their wisdom and gifts with all of us. Dr Bruce Lipton initiated an invitation for them to have a ‘gold session meeting’ with me.
It was Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim, a member of the 13 indigenous Grandmothers and Loretta Afraid of Bear, uniting the tribes and afew more beautiful indigenous friends who too carried a collective narrative of their painful story in relation to the gold rush and the violence + land occupying that came with it.
I felt grateful to be a part of the healing that took place within these sessions. They were sharing the qualities of gold within their culture.
This is very similar to the churches, synagogues, mosques, monasteries, ashrams and most temples around the world. The ‘gold session meeting’ clarified the depth of the vibrational work of gold and the reasons behind bringing it into sacred communal places.
That day four colours white, red, black and yellow were used to create the mantra bead. It looked circular, symbol like a mandala that symbolises oneness.
And yes… the story of evolution that led to this awareness was very challenging, yet we held the power in our hands to let go of it and move in the right direction!
Soon we found ourselves working on a unique 108 Mantra mala where all beads are made from Jerusalem stone and heightens the experiences of the bearer.
Spirituality to me:
Spirituality for me is being present in my life, staying in touch with my own spirit and the collective spirit. This is a perfect balance between our earthly existence and our existence in the worlds beyond matter.
I believe that:
“We are the one playing with the experience of life.”
My day starts before the golden dawn, with me inducing the different vibrations of the mantras within gold. Being able to spend so many hours a day with the different vibration of the mantras is a gift in itself.
